  About Amy Hello, I'm Amy, an aspiring motorsports writer and former blogger.  If you dig deeper enough, you find some very old blog posts, as this started as a book blog, but that's really where I got my start in writing: book reviews, hot book topics and as well as the odd personal essay.  After leaving university, I left the book blog behind, but continued writing and going in the world of social media, writing film reviews and promoting queer cinema, but after a tragic event in my personal life, I quickly discovered Motorsports.  What started as a love for Formula 1, while finally watching the Formula 1 film, Rush, and discovering Formula 1 TikTok, this love soon expanded to everything Formula E, IndyCar, Formula 2, Formula 3, as well as F1 Academy.  I soon found the itch to write come back, with the fast-moving news of motorsport, to the drama, the competition, and the journey of drivers trying to find a race seat. Hello, I'm Amy, an aspiring motorsports writer and former blogger.

After leaving university, I left the book blog behind, but continued writing and going in the world of social media, writing film reviews and promoting queer cinema, but after a tragic event in my personal life, I quickly discovered Motorsports. 

What started as a love for Formula 1, while finally watching the Formula 1 film, Rush, and discovering Formula 1 TikTok, this love soon expanded to everything Formula E, IndyCar, Formula 2, Formula 3, as well as F1 Academy. 

I soon found the itch to write come back, with the fast-moving news of motorsport, to the drama, the competition, and the journey of drivers trying to find a race seat. I found that it was the people and stories behind the sport that I loved, an expected race win, a breakthrough rookie performance, and the love that fans have for the sport, that brought me in. 

Through race reports. opinion pieces, feature articles, I aim to write about the hidden stories of motorsport, for those drivers who are not always front page news, and those stories that more well-known publications may be scared to talk about. 

That passion eventually led me into motorsport journalism. Through writing race reports, feature articles and opinion pieces, I aim to bring readers closer to the action while highlighting the stories that can sometimes be overlooked during a busy race weekend. Whether covering a dramatic Formula 3 sprint race, analysing developments across the Formula 2 paddock, or exploring wider topics within Formula 1, I enjoy finding the context behind the headlines and presenting it in a way that is engaging and accessible.

Alongside race coverage, I have a particular interest in the relationship between motorsport and its fans. From fan events and community engagement to the growing popularity of racing around the world, I enjoy exploring how the sport continues to evolve and connect with audiences beyond the circuit.

Motorsport remains one of my greatest passions, and I am always looking for opportunities to expand my knowledge, develop my writing skills and contribute to meaningful conversations within the industry. Through this website, I hope to showcase my work and continue telling the stories that make motorsport such a fascinating world to follow.

If you like Stranger Things, then you will like this...

So last week, like most that have a Netflix account, I watched Stranger Things and l became hooked with it like so many other people. I know that there is a long wait before season 2 so keep you happy I thought that I could recommend things that are similar to Stranger Things, including books and movies. So let's get started... Books: North of Porter by Kirkland Ciccone Similar to the plot of Stanger Things, Porter Minister moves to a town where quite "strange things" are happening. No there is no upside down or 80s but it is still the adventure of finding people who have gone missing and aliens are involved. It is also incredibly weird (in a good way) and is definitely worth a read.  Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell Set in the 80s and full of references to comics of the time, the similarities with stranger things are there with the setting but are not with the themes. Great for people who want that 80s nostalgia after their Stranger Things binge.   ...
