Doing Better

It is safe to say that over the last couple of months the world is living through a tough time but hopefully one of change. I'm talking Black Lives Matter. Trans Lives Matter and She Who Must Not Be Named, the Yemen Crisis and COVID. To be truthful, I have wanted to write this blog post for weeks but I put it off because I was worried that I would say something wrong but I need to stop being scared about it. Because if I do say something wrong then I can learn from it. As the movement is dying down I do see it mentioned less, especially Black Lives Matter but the truth of the matter is that this is not over. Breonna Taylor's murders have not been charged. George Floyd's murders are still not in prison and Elijah McClain still needs justice. Black Lives still matter and society has a long way to go. In terms of Trans Lives. * I am reviewing this book which I was gifted for free from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts are my own. * Title: ODY-C Vol. 1 Author: Matt Fraction & Christian Ward Publisher: Image Comics Source: Netgalley ( Amazon | Goodreads ) Book Review: I was excited for this when it first came out but I just never picked it up. When I saw it cheap on Waterstones I decided to get a copy. While I thought the art style was pretty and the writing witty in places, I didn't really connect to the story. I have liked Matt Fraction's work for the longest time and some of my favourites are the Hawkeye comics but I don't think this landed for me. While the writing is engaging and entertaining for the most part, I had no idea what was going on. I don't have a background in myths but I think that this should be easier to understand even if this is not the case. I did, however, like the art style and the use of colour. I saw the vibe that was going on and even
