Top 5 Wednesday: Books I Want To Read By The End of This Year

It’s Wednesday so that means that it’s Top 5 Wednesday and this week’s topic is top five books with disappointing eye candy. To find more about Top 5 Wednesday’s you can join the Goodreads group and discover the creator of the group Lainey but is currently being curated, by Samantha. I haven't done this for a while so this will be interesting but anyway, let’s get started…

Number 5: The Mime Order by Samantha Shannon

The Mime Order (The Bone Season, #2)After really enjoying the Bone Season last year, I was really excited about the sequel and currently have the third book on preorder which means that I kind of have to read it before March next year. This book is quite big though so I am worried that it will take a long time to read but I can not wait to see where the story goes.

Number 4: The Memory Book by Lara Avery

The Memory BookAfter receiving a proof of this book at YALC, I did not really know much about but on a whim, I started to read it to find that this was a book that I know I will enjoy. However, I have been in a bit of a reading slump so I need to finish those books before I get to this one.

Number 3: Paper Butterflies by Lisa Heathfield

Paper ButterfliesSo after taking part in the #YATakeover last weekend I realised that many people really loved Paper Butterflies. This seems like a deeply enjoyable and important read and I have been told that it will make me cry. We will see about that...

Number 2: Panther by David Owen

PantherI have wanted to read this book for the longest time. It has been one that I have started but have just put back down again so that I can read something else. This isn't a representation of the fact that the book is bad, it's just that I'm bad in the book that I choose to start and not finish.

Number 1: Pride And Prejudice by Jane Austen

Pride and PrejudiceThis is one of the books that I am currently reading but I am so desperate to finish this right now. I need to read and finish Pride and Prejudice!

What books do you want to finish before the end of the year? Leave them in the comments below.

See you soon,

Amy

Book Review: The Great Godden by Meg Rossoff

   * I am reviewing this book which I was gifted for free from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts are my own. * Title: The Great Godden  Author: Meg Rossoff Publisher: Bloomsbury  Source: NetGalley ( Bookshop UK |  Hive |  Goodreads  |  Storygraph ) Book Summary: Everyone talks about falling in love like it’s the most miraculous, life-changing thing in the world. Something happens, they say, and you know … That’s what happened when I met Kit Godden. I looked into his eyes and I knew. Only everyone else knew too. Everyone else felt exactly the same way. This is the story of one family, one dreamy summer – the summer when everything changes. In a holiday house by the sea, our watchful narrator sees everything, including many things they shouldn’t, as their brother and sisters, parents and older cousins fill hot days with wine and games and planning a wedding. Enter two brothers – irresistible, charming, languidly sexy Kit a...

Reviewing All Of The Books

Earlier this year, I decided that I would review all of the books that I read. For the most part, I definitely have but over the last couple of months it has definitely gone to the wayside but that is because I have been so busy. I wanted to do it because I annoyed myself that I reviewed books years after I read them and I often couldn't remember the plot. Trust me this is still the case, but I have kind of run out of books that I need to review this year which is weird for me. My backlog is getting lower and as I am not reading as much, I genuinely think I might run out. This has never happened before. This is of course quite nice because I think that it creates feelings that are much better than remembering a book from two years ago. Thinking about it at the moment does definitely make it easier as it goes into my head on a computer screen and less memory space is always a good idea. I also do think that sometimes it does take the fun out of it though but there are a lot of benef...
