Book Review: Gemina by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff

* I have received this book for review from the publisher but this in no way affects my review * Title:  Gemina Author: Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman  Source:  Publisher Publisher: Rock The Boat Rating:  5/5 stars Summary of the book from GoodReads : Hanna Donnelly is the station captain’s pampered daughter and Nik Malikov is the reluctant member of a notorious crime family. Together they struggle with the realities of life aboard the galaxy’s most boring space station, blissfully unaware that Kady Grant and the Hypatia are headed right toward Heimdall with news of the Kerenza invasion. Picking up about five minutes after Illuminae ends, Gemina is the electrifying sequel to the hottest YA novel of 2015. Book Review Summary:   So like almost everyone who read Illuminae last year, I fell in love with the book so obviously when the opportunity came to review Gemina I jumped at the chance. This was an incredible book, equally Illuminae and was well worth the wait.  Book Rev

Blog Tour: Book Review of The Wave by Lochlan Bloom

* I have received this book for review from the publisher but this in no way affects my review * Title: The Wave Author:  Lochlan Bloom Source:  Neverland Blog Tours Publisher: DeadInk Publishers Rating:  /5 stars Summary of the book:  When μ returns home to find a sinister screenplay has arrived from Brazil it propels him on a quest to track down a character he believes to be called Ddunsel. As μ’s search progresses it slowly becomes entangled with two parallel tales – the stories of DOWN, a troubled publisher, and David Bohm, a real-life quantum theoretician in post-war São Paulo. Just how far is it from London to Gotham City? Or from Paul Auster to Pierre Menard for that matter?  Some people may think these sorts of questions are idle and ultimately meaningless but this book is not for them. The Wave combines multiple narratives to blend metafiction, historical fiction and screenplay as each of the characters struggles to understand what is reality and what

Poetry. How I did not think that I could write poetry but managed to anyway.

So this is quite a random post but life has gone a bit crazy recently and I guess that this translated into me writing some poetry. At least I think that it is poetry. This is all a bit weird to me though because I generally thought that I would ever write poetry but I guess here we are. It is just a poem about how crazy life can get sometimes and it explains me right now. I might write a follow-up blog post soon but we will see. Here is the poem/may not poem... Life is unexpected.  It has a way of pushing you into situations you could never guess a week before. But that's life.  It's weird.  One minute you are doing one thing then next... Poof.  Gone.  In an instant.  Then you are on to something different. It's like a rollercoaster.  You can go up.  You can go down.  But whatever it is just hold on tight because it will be a ride.  Thanks for reading. See you soon,  Amy
