  About Amy Hello, I'm Amy, an aspiring motorsports writer and former blogger.  If you dig deeper enough, you find some very old blog posts, as this started as a book blog, but that's really where I got my start in writing: book reviews, hot book topics and as well as the odd personal essay.  After leaving university, I left the book blog behind, but continued writing and going in the world of social media, writing film reviews and promoting queer cinema, but after a tragic event in my personal life, I quickly discovered Motorsports.  What started as a love for Formula 1, while finally watching the Formula 1 film, Rush, and discovering Formula 1 TikTok, this love soon expanded to everything Formula E, IndyCar, Formula 2, Formula 3, as well as F1 Academy.  I soon found the itch to write come back, with the fast-moving news of motorsport, to the drama, the competition, and the journey of drivers trying to find a race seat. So last week I was notified that I had been tagged to do the Beautiful Blogger award by the lovely Rambling Reads, so thank you so much for tagging me. This tag allows you to list some fact about yourself. The rules are as follows...

1. I state my favourite book of all time has to be The Book Thief by Marcus Zusack.

2. I am currently studying for a History degree but I don't read much historical fiction.  

3. I have a twin sister called Rebecca. I am older by one minute. 

4. I am currently taking a film module at university which has made me more interested in black and white films as before I did not like them before. It has also made me more conscious of the production of a film and film's history. 

5. Recently I have stopped comparing book to movie adaptations to each other because I know there are going to be different and they are different mediums so not everything from the book is going to fit in the film. 

6. I really like indie films. 

7. I have recently rediscovered my love of creating with the help of my Wreck This Journal. 

8. I didn't think I could think of seven interesting facts about myself, I was wrong.

Relighting My Fire (Part 1/3)

*This was written in October and is a series of three blog posts that I am publishing together. The thoughts in these blog posts may not affect how I am feeling now and it is safe to say that I do feel mentally better than I once did.* To be honest, this is the first time I've truly written something in months. Dealing with Embarrassing Moments

Having anxiety doesn't lend itself to embarrassing moments. Instead of saying fuck it and moving on, our mind decides to let the memories stay and linger. Replaying themselves again. And again. And again until we start to go a little crazy. Today has been that day. First there was the answer that I couldn't give in class. Then the fact that I accidentally fell into a couple of people on the tube. At rush hour. There have been some good things. I met Hank Green and didn't make a complete fool of myself and this was because a nice guy from Waterstones gave me the correct raffle ticket. (THANK YOU!)
