About Amy Hello, I'm Amy, an aspiring motorsports writer and former blogger. If you dig deeper enough, you find some very old blog posts, as this started as a book blog, but that's really where I got my start in writing: book reviews, hot book topics and as well as the odd personal essay. After leaving university, I left the book blog behind, but continued writing and going in the world of social media, writing film reviews and promoting queer cinema, but after a tragic event in my personal life, I quickly discovered Motorsports. What started as a love for Formula 1, while finally watching the Formula 1 film, Rush, and discovering Formula 1 TikTok, this love soon expanded to everything Formula E, IndyCar, Formula 2, Formula 3, as well as F1 Academy. So around the end of December, I took part in two readathons as I mentioned on the blog, I was going to take part in Cramathon which I did but I just never posted a wrap-up. In the last few days, I also took part in #SundayYAthon which I also thought that I would discuss in the blog post. So let's get started...
Cramathon:
Cramathon started on 16th December at 12 am and finished at 12 am on the 23rd December and was hosted by WhittyNovels and Aprililus Maximus. The aim to read as much as possible to complete your Goodreads goal. Although I had already finished my Goodreads goal by this point, it was nice to read more books and just to try and get my TBR down. There were some challenges for the readathon and I did try to complete them all. Here is how I did...
Challenges
1. Read a book under 200 pages
I read Marly's Ghost by David Levithan. This book was OK and it was an easy read but I just did not connect with the story and the characters.
2. Read 2 books in 24 hours
I finished Stone Rider which I was reading before the readathon, both graphic novels as well as King of the Rats by Melinda Salisbury which I really enjoyed. I think it is safe to say that I completed this challenge.
3. Read a book set in a different country than where you live
You Know Me Well by David Levithan and Nina LaCour- It is set in America, I live in England. I completed this book and although I was expecting it to be better than it was, I still enjoyed it.
4. Read a book you've been putting off/have been meaning to read forever
I did want to read To Kill A Mockingbird for this challenge but did not get around to it so I am going to put Challenger Deep for this one instead because I had been reading it for the longest time and finally finished it and really enjoyed it.
5. Read a book with pictures
I read Eren by Simon P. Clark which was an enjoyable read and was the last book which I read for the readathon.
6. Read a graphic novel
I finished two single issues for this challenge which included Champions #3 and The Great Lake Avengers #2 which I enjoyed and will continue with.
7. Read 7 books
I completed this challenge reading 9 books in total! Included in this was Lady Susan by Jane Austen which was an OK read.

This is the second time I have completed this readathon and I always have a great time as I find that it is very inclusive and some really lovely people take part. Read a Short Story Collection
For these challenges I read, I'll Be Home For Christmas which is a short story collection set around home and Christmas. Most of the stories in this collection were really lovely to read but there were a few that I just found a little odd. I also really enjoyed that it focused on issues that are not normally discussed in YA books such as class and homelessness which was quite eye-opening to read about.
Read a novella
I completed Winter's Snow by Carrie Hope Fletcher for this challenge. This was a cute and enjoyable read but I do feel like if I had read On The Other Side this book would have made more sense to me but it was still quite cute.
Read a book from your TBR

I read two books for this challenge which were Because You'll Never Meet Me and When Everything Feels Like The Movies. Although I really enjoyed Because You'll Never Meet Me as it was a very diverse and unique book that dealt with great characters, the same however can not be said for When Everything Feels Like The Movies. IT was a different YA book and it dealt with a real life event but the writing style was not to my taste and I felt no remorse for the character. This was probably the aim of the novel but it did not work for me.
I, however, did not finish the challenge, Read a New Book, but I did finish 4 books which are quite good in itself so I am happy in my progress.
