Thoughts I had while rereading Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone

So for most of us, we grew up reading the Harry Potter series but what do people (especially me) think while rereading it. Well, you are about to find out. But first, see Pottermore's similar blog post about this subject although this subject is similar all thoughts are my own.

So let's get started...

1. McGonagall has the sass even as a cat.
2. He has Sirius' motorbike. Can we just pause so I can sob?
3. A birthmark of the London underground- helpful. What will he do if new stations get added though?
4. Harry's "dream" about the flying motorbike.
5. Does Harry's hair magically grow? (Yes, Yes it does- me in writing this)
6. Also magic jumper? (I don't know either)
7. Also the jump and the fact that he was found on the top of his school roof (Think I got this one)
8. The unknown relative to take him away. I wonder who that is?
9. "Who'd be writing to you"- someone. Harry must have some friends- the Dursley's are so mean.
10. The power of names... That not relevant at all...
11. Hagrid doesn't believe that Voldemort died... Well never underestimate Hagrid.
12. How does everyone know what Harry looks like...like how?
13. So Draco and Dudley are similar in Harry's mind. Interesting...
14. It's interesting the fact that Harry is never afraid to say Voldemort's name even of a young age.
15. Toads are out of fashion. Poor Neville.

16. So James' wand was good for transfiguration, was it...
17. So does Dudley have to get his tail removed from St Mungo's
18. Love Fred and George!
19. Just remember the scene where Harry showed Ron his scar in the film. Such a good scene. Anyway...
20. Ron, you literally have nothing to worry about #WeasleyisourKing
21. Dean Thomas and his love for West Ham.
22. So this is over 700 fouls in Quidditch. How... what are they?
23. Do they just think Snape is out to get them... Poor Snape. Not really but you know in this scene.
24. I still don't quite know why people like Draco.
25. You mean the mirror of desire.
26. It is a mirror and the word as it is the mirror of desire.
27. J.K. Rowling is so clever.
28. Ron's vision in the mirror of Erised is so cute because it kind of does show the future.
29. I can't imagine Snape referring to a Quidditch match.
30. Can't believe Snape spat on the ground.
31. McGonagall so nice and mean at the same time.
32. The fact that Ron gave Malfoy a black eye.
33. Neville tried to single-handedly beat up Crabbe and Goyle. If people say that Neville is not a Gryffindor remember this.
34. The characters are so stupid sometimes why do they still think it is Snape when it clearly isn't.
35. We have dragons in England. *goes dragons hunting*
36. I wonder why everyone is so afraid of Voldemort's name? Like why? A name is not going to bring him back to life.
37. Interesting?
38. I am literally Ron when it comes to exams...
39. Hermione got 112% on an exam. I don't think that's possible.
40. Hermione literally asked how to make fire with no wood. She is a wizard.
41. Why is this book so good. I love all the characters.
42. Just one day in Hogwarts...

So there it is...

See you soon.

Favourite Graphic Novels & Manga of 2021

As I have read a lot of books this year, I always want to give graphic novels and manga their own celebration as they often get overlooked and do make up a lot of my reading. I also find that even though I read a lot of them, it takes a lot to convince me and make it a new favourite. So here are my best... Heartstopper Volume 4 by Alice Oseman  Like everyone on the internet, I too am a massive Heartstopper fan and Volume 4 is no different. I love the relationship of Nick and Charlie and the side characters also make the series. This one also explores the way that mental health can impact romance and it still does justice to the story and does not fall into cliches. I am eagerly anticipating the final volume but I don't want it to be over.  The Impending Blindness of Billie Scott by Zoe Thorogood One of the last graphic novels I read this year and the one that has the second amount of hype, The Impending Blindness of Billie Scott also leaves a lasting impression. I love a good Briti

Book Review: The Great Godden by Meg Rossoff

   * I am reviewing this book which I was gifted for free from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts are my own. * Title: The Great Godden  Author: Meg Rossoff Publisher: Bloomsbury  Source: NetGalley ( Bookshop UK |  Hive |  Goodreads  |  Storygraph ) Book Summary: Everyone talks about falling in love like it’s the most miraculous, life-changing thing in the world. Something happens, they say, and you know … That’s what happened when I met Kit Godden. I looked into his eyes and I knew. Only everyone else knew too. Everyone else felt exactly the same way. This is the story of one family, one dreamy summer – the summer when everything changes. In a holiday house by the sea, our watchful narrator sees everything, including many things they shouldn’t, as their brother and sisters, parents and older cousins fill hot days with wine and games and planning a wedding. Enter two brothers – irresistible, charming, languidly sexy Kit and surly, silent Hugo. Suddenly there’s
